
Climate change, women's empowerment, sustainability and other types of social good conferences around the world feature keynote speakers who share their expertise and/or stories about the obstacles that they have overcome as a way to educate and inspire others.
The best venues offer an eclectic mix of celebrities, authors, poets, scientists, writers, startups, activists, indigenous people, and foundations, amongst others. Depending on the institution, engagements can range from being unpaid but offer a tremendous amount of publicity, to paid with average professional speaking fees coming in at $6,000 and going up beyond $40,000 per hour.
